Catching up on life

So here is a little run down on our end of 2008:
We had a week of being Thankful at Meme and Poppa's! It was great. We relaxed, slept, the children watched too much TV and Stacy and I felt like we had a little vacation. It is pretty amazing that at 38, we can still experience that when we go home. It is amazing and shows I am still a little spoiled. The only pictures we took were of the girls one night when we had a bon fire and roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and then a few pictures for my parents Christmas card of our kids and my brothers. Here are the photos from Thanksgiving.

After Thanksgiving, life was the usual whirl of fun activities that nearly kill us except that we enjoy them once we get there. I had a picture Dog lover and the girls before their ballet performance of "Mary." I am having technical difficulties and i am tired of trying, so no picture of them in this post. But she had a wonderful time participating in this and we, as her unbiased parents, thought she did a wonderful job performing.
Next is a picture is of the girls on the day we went to the Nutcracker. It was at the civic center this year and I can honestly say I have never missed Ruby Diamond auditorium more. So loud and the view wasn't all that great either. but the Nutcracker is a tradition, and we observed it this year again.

Finally, Christmas came. It was a fun time, hopefully squeezing in a little of the truth of Christmas, how Christ came as a human to save all humanity who choose to call on Him. Somehow I don't think we got all of our priorities right this season, but we did try. Here is a picture of the girls on Christmas Eve after the Christmas Eve Service. As you can see, Princess Tiger wasn't too happy about pictures. This next picture is of the newly awakened girls on Christmas morning. they had just gotten their stockings down and found new webkins.
All in all, 2008 has been a good year for us personally. We are happy to be participating in Classical Conversations, I think we have grown in our relationships with each other in our family, and I think we have even managed to make a few new friends. What a blessing that is. God is faithful and continues to bless us. We look to 2009 with hope, and trying to trust God with our future.

Loose Dogs: by Dog lover

We have lately been seeing dogs on the loose. Some of them we know who they belong to. Others, not. For instance, I was doing math when I saw 2 Brittney spaniels running into our neighbors backyard. I tryed to get them but couldn't. Just today we rescued our friends dog and brought it back to them. Oh, joy, just I loooooved doing that! Her is a photo of our dog, Ginger, asleep. Maybe sometime we can get you one of her actually awake.
